If you can spare some time once a week and would like to help, please complete the application form on our website. We would prefer volunteers that can commit to a whole day but we also understand that people have busy lives. We are happy to negotiate flexible hours provided that we can cover all work that needs to be done, but we do, however, require a weekly ... See more

Unbelievably we are out of towels again. Busy season has been relentless so far. If anyone has any towels they don't need, please pass them to us. Thanks, Sharon

Just had some very nice young men bring a badger cub in . When one of the chaps let his dogs out he heard a commotion in the garden and knew the dogs had something but didn't expect a badger as he had never seen them in the garden before . Despite rushing the little cub to us we could not save her. They both left a generous donation which was kind of them and were clearly upset.

Baby hedgehog season is just around the corner and we are running very low on recovery diet which we find to be very good for little hogs. If you are able to help us, please see our Amazon wishlist. Thanks, Sharon https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/1K2NGRWZUD337?&sort=default

Sticking with tonight's seaside theme , James and Lisa from british divers marine life rescue bought us a poorly common seal from Clacton . He ( or she) was very resistant to our suggestion of tubing fluids into it so we have left it overnight with some fish to snack on.

Very fiesty gull came in this evening with it's foot trapped in an oyster. He has a fractured toe for for which we have constructed a special foot split. Hopefully he will be back to normal soon !

We joined the Essex Lottery last November and have raised almost £800 to date. This makes such a difference to the wildlife that we can help. If you can, please consider supporting us in the lottery. Tickets are £1 and we receive half of that. We have already had a couple of winners 😊
